They were all gathering to change the world for some of the world’s most vulnerable. It is great to be a part of something bigger than ourselves.

Jacinta Tegman, World Concern President

Nearly 1,500 runners converged on the CRISTA Ministries campus on Saturday, May 9 to take a stand against human trafficking at the 7th Annual World Concern Free Them 5K. From serious runners to families with little ones, our incredible community joined together to help raise awareness and funds for one of the world’s most heartbreaking problems–human trafficking.

Participants raised over $176,000 in their fight against trafficking, and the funds will be used to support prevention and rehabilitation of victims through World Concern’s programs.

“Pouring onto the CRISTA campus all morning were moms and dads, boys and girls, young people and those with a more halting step. They were all gathering to change the world for some of the world’s most vulnerable,” said Jacinta Tegman, World Concern President. “They were here to change the world through their efforts. It really touched my heart. It is great to be part of something bigger than ourselves. It was an amazing day!”
