CRISTA Ministries hosted a celebratory gala in November as a culmination of its 75th year of ministry. More than 850 people attended the event, held at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue and emceed by King’s Schools alumna Megan Alexander of Inside Edition. Watch a recap of the evening here.
Special entertainment for the evening included contemporary Christian music artist and songwriter, Natalie Grant, accompanied by Bernie Herms. Natalie is a five-time recipient of the Gospel Music Association’s Dove Award for Female Vocalist of the Year and has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards.
CRISTA Trustees Randy Trettevik, Dennis Guhlke, and Trustee alumna Kirsten Miller provided introductions and spoke about the work of CRISTA; World Concern Senior Operations Director Peter Macharia led in prayer; and CRISTA CEO Jacinta Tegman gave a keynote address. King’s High School choir performed a moving composition based on CRISTA founder Mike Martin’s book By Faith.
The evening included a video looking back on the history of CRISTA, founded in 1948 by Mike and Vivian Martin.
