Kaleo is one of the nation’s most sought after high school basketball recruits, recognized as one of ESPN’s “Next 100.” Already the leading scorer and rebounder in King’s basketball history, Kaleo enters her final high school season as a three-time selection as Emerald Sound Conference Player of the Year. In March of this year, Kaleo hit a buzzer-beating three-point shot to upset top-ranked Lynden Christian and send the Knights to the 1A state championship game. She arrived at King’s in 9th grade and has loved every aspect of her experience. She officially gave her life to the Lord while on a King’s basketball away trip last December, surrounded by her teammates and coaches. A consensus 4-star recruit, Kaleo recently announced her commitment to Virginia Tech.
Kim Beard is a two-time defending Washington State champion in the hammer throw. In the same event, she won the 2024 Junior Olympic Championships before setting a United States group record with a throw of 186 feet, 6 inches, a staggering 10 feet beyond the distance of the second-place finisher. Kim’s incredible feats have made her a legitimate threat to contend for a spot on a future United States Olympic squad. Arriving at King’s for high school, Kim has paired a Christian education with her athletic exploits and truly developed into a Champion for Christ. She recently signed a commitment letter to University of Illinois.
