The 7.7-magnitude earthquake that hit Myanmar on March 28 destroyed 80% of Sagaing, a city of more than 300,000 people near the quake’s epicenter, along with countless homes, roadways, bridges, and other infrastructure throughout the nation. As the number of injured and dead continues to rise and international aid is still arriving, in-country hospitals and cemeteries are overwhelmed.
World Concern, a member of the CRISTA Ministries family, has worked in Myanmar for more than 30 years helping displaced people with food, shelter, clean water, medical supplies, and healing from trauma. We are uniquely placed to support the nation in this crisis and are hard at work bringing emergency medical aid to save lives, as well as food, clean water, temporary shelter, and clothing for those who have lost everything.
Our goal is to reach 20,000 people in four regions of Myanmar with life-saving assistance. Please join us by praying and giving to the people of Myanmar at Home | World Concern.
