“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

This open to Psalm 46 could not ring any more true right now, at a time in which our world continues to respond to the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Our God is indeed our stronghold, and I am thankful that our faith leads us back to Him as the creator and protector of all things. I am particularly thankful for the work of so many who care for those in poor health, those who institute prevention measures, and those who are thinking and planning for what God would have us do next. I join all of them – and all of you – in praying for peace and guidance during this time.

Here at CRISTA Ministries, our employees and volunteers live out our mission of serving the needs of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ each day. We serve millions of people each year globally, including communities and locations that are categorized as being at a “higher risk” for contracting COVID-19.

The CRISTA Ministries Family has and will continue to follow government-issued orders and carry out all preventative measures that we believe will lower risk, prevent illness and address fear. I could not be more proud of our team for exhausting all efforts to provide a safe environment for our staff and those we serve.

Prayer. Prevention. Planning Ahead. The ministries of CRISTA will continue to unite efforts with these three objectives outlining our actions to responsibly protect the individuals and communities we have the privilege of serving.

At CRISTA, we pray that God would comfort those in our world that are experiencing loss. But through our preventative measures and unceasing commitment to continue serving the world, we will also stand against fear in Jesus’ name.

In His peace,
